Barca star Pedri chooses between Lionel Messi & Ronaldo

When asked to pick his GOAT, Barcelona’s Pedri favored his ex-teammate Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo.

This preference isn’t unexpected, considering their 47 matches played together and three shared goal contributions across competitions.

Pedri’s time with Messi came to an abrupt end when the 36-year-old left Camp Nou in the summer of 2021 for Paris Saint-Germain.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner then spent two years in Paris before moving to Inter Miami in 2023.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo departed Europe in January 2023, joining Al-Nassr after mutually terminating his contract with Manchester United.

When asked to pick between the two footballing greats, Pedri said: “Messi, without a doubt. But Cristiano is a great player as well.”

Both players boast remarkable careers to date. Ronaldo has amassed an impressive 748 senior career goals and 236 assists in 1002 games, clinching the UEFA Champions League trophy five times.

He’s claimed the Ballon d’Or award five times, and secured the La Liga and Serie A trophies twice each, along with three Premier League titles.

Meanwhile, Messi has accumulated 726 senior club career goals and 346 assists in 894 appearances, capturing La Liga ten times and the Champions League three times.

He notably guided Argentina to World Cup triumph in Qatar in 2022, tallying seven goals and three assists.
