Callum Hudson-Odoi back in full Chelsea training after Achilles woe

Callum Hudson-Odoi has proudly announced his return to full training after injury – delighting Chelsea supporters and manager Frank Lampard.

The 18-year-old winger, who has yet to agree a new contract, tweeted a happy snap of himself taking a break and added: “I’m backkkkkk??”

Excited fans claimed the Bayern Munich target would soon be part of new head coach Lampard’s youthful revolution at the club.

One fan tweeted: “YESSSS!! ? Back for 5 more years as well! ???” and another posted: “STAR MAN, LETS GOOOOOO ???”

Some Blues’ followers suggested Chelsea should now target fellow Three Lions’ wideman Jadon Sancho, in January if their transfer ban is lifted.

One such message was: “Comeback asap bro ? We need you . And sent this to your bud that we need this link up at Stamford Bridge next season ??.”

Fans anxious to see Lampard bring on more youngsters – especially while he is unable to make any signings – believed Hudson-Odoi should be a key player this campaign.

One said: “I am happy. We need you more than ever” while a popular theme was: “Welcome back lad! Work hard now!”

Lampard confirmed yesterday that Chelsea are still locked in negotiations with the England international about a contract – but there is still no breakthrough yet.

Football.London report the Chelsea legend as saying: “The clubs are talking. We want him to stay, I want him to stay. We hope Callum stays, simple as that.”

But Lamps added: “The better news is that he’s working hard on his fitness and is back out on the pitch,” Lampard added.

“So from my point of view right now that’s the really good news and, of course, as a club we’d like that to be longer term.”
