Manchester United want £180m for Paul Pogba

Manchester United are set to raise Paul Pogba’s price tag to £180 million if the midfielder and his agent Mino Raiola continue to push for a transfer away from Old Trafford, according to reports.

The France international has made it clear that he wants a ‘new challenge’, while Raiola has criticised United for their handling of the former Juve midfielder situation.

Earlier this week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer publicly warned Pogba that the club will not be forced to sell him this summer window, despite the interest from Real Madrid and Juventus.

And according to MailOnline, United are backing Solskjaer by upping Pogba’s valuation and making it hard for the Frenchman to leave.

United spent £89m on re-signing Pogba from Juventus and were initially willing to sell allow him leave for a £150m offer before Raiola and Pogba had put on the pressure.

Pogba is currently in Australia with Manchester United’s squad for their pre-season tour and is set to play in their first game against Perth Glory on Saturday.

Despite his desire to leave, Solskjaer is adamant that Pogba’s conduct in training has been very positive.

‘Paul has never put himself out of the team, he has always wanted to play, he has always given his best,’ Solskjaer said this week.

‘Agents talk all the time and we’ve not had any bids from any clubs.

‘I’m not just talking about Mino Raiola, there are loads of agents out there who have got clients they are looking after. We’ve got players and a team that I’ve got to look after and manage.’
