Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has allayed fears about a possible long-term injury lay-off after he limped out of the FA Cup final 2-1 defeat to Arsenal.
The America international put Chelsea ahead in just the six minutes at Wembley but he had to be substituted in the second half after pulling up with a hamstring injury.
The blues missed Pulisic’s speed on the counter as Arsenal found a winning goal through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who scored his second of the final to give the gunners their 14th FA Cup trophy.
Pulisic has had a good debut season for Chelsea and with such a short turnaround before the new Premier League campaign starts, fans feared the winger could be missing for the beginning of the season.
But, Pulisic has eased fears that he could be set for a prolonged stay on the sidelines in an Instagram post after Chelsea’s defeat against Arsenal.

‘Gave it everything we had,’ wrote Pulisic. ‘Wasn’t our day.. thank you guys for your support I’ll be back in no time’
Chelsea face Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie in August but they have overcome a three-goal deficit without Azpilicueta and Pulisic.
Frank Lampard will be hoping that Pulisic can prove his fitness in time for the beginning of the new Premier League season, that will start in the second week of September.
