Andreas Pereira rejects Solskjaer’s plea to stay at Man Utd

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is reportedly in talks to leave the theatre of dreams after losing his place in the team at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian was a regular in the first period of the campaign but the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, as well as the return of Paul Pogba from injury, has limited Pereira’s appearances.

The midfielder played only two games in the Premier League since the competition restarted and he only managed 26 minutes in the Europa League against LASK, despite the Red devils having a five-goal aggregate lead.

That has convinced Pereira that he needs to leave to play regular first team football and reports claim the player is now in the process of ‘leaving’ the club.

Despite his struggles to play more games, Solskjaer tried to convince Pereira to stay and even assured him that there was a place for him at the club.

However, Pereira has already decided to leave United and it would seem he’s unwilling to take a step back after breaking into the team in 2019.

Valencia are believed to be interested, while some Spanish and Portuguese teams have also made offers to sign the player.

However, It’s unclear what United’s valuation of Pereira is but they could do with every extra penny as they target a deal to sign Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Dortmund want £108million for the England international but United are unwilling to go that far and are desperately trying to negotiate a lower fee for the player.

Manchester United are also keen to sign a midfielder and central defender this summer window but they will have to recoup funds by selling player.
