Juventus boss Allegri ready to accept Manchester United job offer

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri is keen on joining Manchester United and has let it be known he’s ready to move to England.

The Italian was keen on replacing Arsene Wenger last summer but Arsenal opted to sign Unai Emery.

Allegri has won four consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus and took Juve to Champions League finals in 2015 & 2017.

Juventus have won seven league trophies in a row and the last team to break their grip of Serie A was Allegri’s AC Milan team in 2011.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino remains United’s first choice to replace Jose Mourinho but the club are fearful that the Argentine is not willing to move to Old Trafford.

Real Madrid are also interested in the Argentine, while United would have to pay a compensation package of around £34million to prise him away from Tottenham.

Allegri has been taking English lessons for the last 18 months and has ‘let it be known’ that he’s interested in taking charge at United, according to the Times.

Allegri has 18 months to run on his deal at Juventus and is feasibly one of the few high profile head coaches ‘available’ in world football.

United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a caretaker role but it is believed the club will consider him on a permanent basis if they fail to get Pochettino.
