Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is the latest English youngster to be targeted by the Bundesliga club.
According to Dailymail, Bayern Munich are set to table a starting offer of £13million for the 18-year-old when the transfer window opens.
But Bayern are not the only German club interested in Hudson-Odoi, with Borussia Dortmund credited with an interest, as well as other Bundesliga teams.
Hudson-Odoi is highly rated at Stamford Bridge, and viewed as one of the best talents to emerge from the Chelsea’s academy in recent years.
It is understood that Chelsea would look to insert a buy-back clause into any deal that would see Hudson-Odoi leave the club.
The teenager has found first-team football difficult to come by under Maurizio Sarri, playing five matches this campaign — but just one in the Premier League.
He came on as a 43rd-minute substitute in the 2-1 win against Watford, but was later subbed by Sarri, who insisted his decision was due to a hamstring injury sustained by the 18-year-old.
While he knows he is valued at Chelsea, particularly given his status as a homegrown player, the forward is interested in playing regular first-team football.
In recent years, German teams have raided England’s top sides.
Jadon Sancho has been outstanding at Borussia Dortmund after leaving Manchester City and also earned his first England call-up earlier this year.
Arsenal attacker Reiss Nelson is also close to a senior international call-up after excelling during a loan spell in Germany at Hoffenheim.
