Mourinho claims Solskjaer is out of his depth as Man Utd manager

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly been telling people that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be out of his depth as Manchester United head coach.

Mourinho will face the man that replaced him at Old Trafford next Friday when United travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The first time they met in December, Solskjaer got the better of Mourinho by beating Spurs 2-1 at home – and to add insult to injury, proceeded to pat the Portuguese manager on the head after the match.

But, according to The Athletic, Mourinho has been questioning the ability of Solskjaer to take on a job as big as taking charge of qManchester United.

After a tricky start, the Norwegian has started to implement his philosophy on his side as he looks to return the club to its roots of attacking football and developing young talent.

Solskjaer has handed first-team debuts to promising academy products which includes Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood, who have both made the most of their chances.

With the signing of Bruno Fernandes in thebJanuary window, Manchester United have seen a complete turnaround in their fortunes.

Prior to the league’s suspension over the coronavirus pandemic, the Red Devils were on an 11-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

United will recommence the campaign just three points behind fourth-placed team Chelsea in the Premier League table.

If they plan on signing their top summer targets, Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish, Champions League football may prove to be very vital.
